Recommended Airports and Transfers
Guests can arrive through either of Tenerife’s two airports. The best choice will depend on whether they prefer a direct international flight or a shorter airport transfer.
Tenerife North Airport — TFN
Tenerife North Airport is the closest airport to the retreat and the most convenient option upon arrival.
The airport is approximately 14–16 kilometres from Punta del Hidalgo. The journey to the retreat accommodation takes around 20–30 minutes by car.
Most travellers arriving from Paris, London, Berlin or Zurich will need to book a connecting flight, usually with a stop in Madrid or Barcelona. Guests should allow sufficient time between flights when planning their journey.
Transfer options from Tenerife North Airport include:
Taxi: approximately 20 minutes, with an estimated fare of €26–€35 each way
Private transfer: available for two or more guests and arranged in advance
CICAR car rental: vehicle collection is available at the airport for guests wishing to explore independently

Tenerife South Airport — TFS
Tenerife South Airport offers the widest selection of direct international flights from major European cities, including Paris, London, Berlin and Zurich.
It is approximately 80 kilometres from Punta del Hidalgo, and the transfer usually takes between 60 and 75 minutes.

Which Airport Should You Choose?
Choose Tenerife North Airport (TFN) if:
You prefer a short and easy transfer to the retreat
You are comfortable taking a connecting flight through mainland Spain
You would like to arrive closer to Punta del Hidalgo
You are travelling with Iberia, Vueling, Binter or another airline serving domestic Spanish connections
Choose Tenerife South Airport (TFS) if:
You prefer a direct flight from your European departure city
You would rather avoid a flight connection
You are travelling from Paris, London, Berlin or Zurich
You are comfortable with a longer transfer across the island
Private Transfer Organisation
Dharmanas Retreats can organise a private transfer from either airport for two or more guests.
Whenever participants have compatible flight times, they can share the vehicle and divide the transfer cost. To arrange the service, guests must provide their flight number, arrival time, mobile number and luggage details at least seven days before arrival.
Airport transportation is not included in the retreat price. Prices are confirmed before booking and depend on the airport, number of passengers, arrival time and vehicle availability.
How to Get There
The recommended arrival airport is Tenerife South Airport (TFS). Punta del Hidalgo is approximately 80 kilometres from the airport, and the journey usually takes between 60 and 75 minutes, depending on traffic.
Airport transportation is not included in the retreat price, but Dharmanas Retreats can help guests organise the most suitable option.
Option 1 — Car Rental with CICAR
Renting a car is a good choice for guests who would like complete independence during their stay or plan to explore Tenerife before or after the retreat.
CICAR has a rental desk at Tenerife South Airport and offers a wide selection of vehicles throughout the Canary Islands.

Option 2 — Airport Taxi
Official taxis are available outside the arrivals terminal at Tenerife South Airport. This is a convenient option for guests who prefer to arrange their transportation upon arrival.

Option 3 — Pre-Booked Private Transfer
For the most comfortable arrival, Dharmanas Retreats can organise a private door-to-door transfer for two or more guests.
The driver will meet the guests at Tenerife South Airport and take them directly to the retreat accommodation in Punta del Hidalgo.

Organising a Shared Transfer
Whenever two or more participants have compatible arrival times, Dharmanas Retreats can coordinate a shared private transfer to reduce the cost per person.
To arrange the service, guests must provide:
Full name
Flight number
Arrival date and time
Departure date and time
Mobile or WhatsApp number
Number and approximate size of luggage
Any special transportation requirements
Transfer requests should preferably be submitted at least seven days before arrival. Guests with significantly different flight times may need to book separate transportation.
Transportation prices are indicative and subject to confirmation by the selected provider. Delays caused by traffic or flight changes may affect journey times.
Option 4 — Public Bus from Tenerife South Airport
Public transport is the most economical way to travel from Tenerife South Airport to Punta del Hidalgo. In Tenerife, public buses are locally called guaguas and are operated by TITSA.
There is no direct bus between the airport and Punta del Hidalgo, but the journey can be completed with one change in Santa Cruz.
Suggested Route
Take TITSA bus line 10 from Tenerife South Airport to Santa Cruz Bus Station — Intercambiador de Santa Cruz.
At Santa Cruz Bus Station, change to TITSA bus line 105, travelling towards Punta del Hidalgo.
Leave the bus at the stop closest to the retreat accommodation. Dharmanas Retreats will provide the exact stop and walking directions before arrival.
