EXPERIENCE IN NORTHERN TENERIFE
Yoga. Ocean. Mountains. Adventure.
At Dharmanas, your retreat is not confined to the yoga mat.
It is an invitation to experience Tenerife through movement, nature and connection to wake up by the Atlantic, practise with intention, explore volcanic landscapes, swim in natural pools, walk through ancient forests and discover the freedom of the ocean.
Located in Punta del Hidalgo, in the wild north of Tenerife, Dharmanas is surrounded by some of the island's most spectacular natural landscapes.
COME FOR THE YOGA. DISCOVER SO MUCH MORE.
YOGA WITH INTENTION
10 YEARS OF PRACTICE. ONE PERSONAL APPROACH.
Yoga is at the heart of the Dharmanas experience.
With more than 10 years of personal yoga practice and experience as a teacher, I create classes that invite you to explore your body, breath and mind—not simply to perform postures.
Each practice is adapted to the group and to the energy of the day.
Morning sessions may awaken your strength, mobility and focus through Hatha Yoga, breathwork and mindful movement. Evening practices invite you to slow down through Yin Yoga, deep stretching and relaxation.
Because our groups are intentionally small, there is space for personal guidance and individual attention. Whether you are completely new to yoga or have been practising for years, you can explore the practice at your own level.
SURF WITH GREEN WAVE
Together with Green Wave, our local surf partner, you will discover the waves of northern Tenerife with experienced instructors who know the coastline, the conditions and the ocean intimately.
Whether this is your first time standing on a board or you already feel comfortable in the water, the sessions are adapted to your level.
You will learn to read the ocean, find your balance, catch your first waves and, most importantly, enjoy being in the water.
OUTDOOR
ANAGA
Just beyond Punta del Hidalgo begins one of Tenerife's most extraordinary landscapes.
The Anaga Rural Park is a world of ancient mountains, deep valleys, dramatic cliffs and prehistoric laurel forests.
We can explore different trails according to the season, weather and the group's level—from gentle walks through the landscape to more immersive hikes for those looking for a challenge.
Walk beneath the ancient forest canopy. Follow paths carved into the mountains. Stop for panoramic views over the Atlantic. And experience a side of Tenerife that feels worlds away from the busy resorts.
TEIDE NATIONAL PARK
FROM OCEAN TO VOLCANO
One day, leave the coast behind and travel into another world.
Teide National Park is home to Spain's highest mountain and some of the most extraordinary volcanic landscapes in the Canary Islands.
The scenery changes completely as you climb from the Atlantic coast towards the volcanic highlands.
Black lava fields.
Ancient volcanic formations.
Open skies.
A landscape that feels almost otherworldly.
Our Teide experience gives you time to explore, walk and simply take in the immense scale of the landscape.
HIKING FROM THE DOOR
THE BEST TRAILS ARE CLOSE TO HOME
One of the special things about staying in Punta del Hidalgo is that nature begins almost at your doorstep.
There are coastal paths, mountain trails and traditional routes connecting the village with the surrounding landscape.
Depending on the group, we can explore:
Punta del Hidalgo → Chinamada
A spectacular mountain route towards the traditional cave village of Chinamada, with incredible views across the Anaga mountains.
Punta del Hidalgo Coastal Paths
Gentler walks along the coastline, perfect for discovering volcanic landscapes and enjoying the Atlantic.
Barranco del Río
A beautiful route through the mountainous landscape surrounding the village.
Anaga Mountain Trails
More immersive hikes through the ancient landscapes of the Anaga Rural Park.
The programme is always adapted to weather, trail conditions and the abilities of the group.
NATURAL POOLS & THE ATLANTIC
YOUR AFTERNOON SWIMMING POOL
You don't need a spa when the Atlantic is outside your door.
Punta del Hidalgo is famous for its natural swimming pools, formed by volcanic rock and filled by the ocean.
After yoga.
After a hike.
After surfing.
Or simply because you feel like it.
Take a swim, lie on the volcanic rocks and watch the waves roll in.
There is nowhere to rush to.
Just ocean, sun and time.
