FOOD FOR YOUR SOUL
At Dharmanas Retreats, preparing and sharing food is an essential part of the retreat experience. One that we approach with care, intention and heart.
Yoga teaches us to honour the body as a temple. The way we nourish ourselves can influence our energy, clarity and overall sense of well-being. For this reason, our meals are vegetarian, balanced and thoughtfully prepared to complement the rhythm of daily yoga practice.
We favour fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, creating colourful dishes that are both satisfying and easy to enjoy. Meals are designed to provide lasting energy without leaving the body feeling heavy, allowing you to move more comfortably during practice and rest more deeply afterwards.
After morning meditation and Hatha Yoga, guests enjoy a vegetarian brunch. In the evening, following the slower rhythm of Yin Yoga, a homemade dinner brings everyone together around the table. These shared meals offer an opportunity to pause, connect and experience food with greater presence.
Our approach is not about restriction or perfection. It is about simplicity, balance and pleasure, listening to the body, appreciating the ingredients and rediscovering the joy of mindful eating.
Every dish is prepared with the intention of nourishing more than the body alone. Through flavour, colour and care, food becomes part of the retreat journey: a daily ritual supporting vitality, calm and connection.
