FOOD FOR SOUL

 

At Dharmanas Yoga the preparation of meals is something that we take to heart.

Yoga defends the idea that the body is a temple that we must honor by nourishing it. The body of the yogi must receive light meals for easy and rapid digestion which accentuates well-being and help with posture.


Between the studies of Ayurveda, neuroscience and my personal experience while traveling, my eating habits have changed, naturally adapting to my needs. By listening to my body, I became aware of which foods changed my mood, made me feel heavy and anxious, or made me feel happy and full of energy.

In yoga & surf retreats in Tenerife, I am inspired by local and organic products from local farmers. A quality of seasonal products that satisfy our senses through vegetarian or vegan meals often gluten free and free from dairy products. Their flavors and smells help me create meals that aid in the detox and self-healing process of retreats. I have learned to cook consciously, in silence to feel the aromas that guide me. I managed to relieve ailments through the meals I prepared by combining it with a more conscious and positive lifestyle.

This is what I transmit through my cooking, my classes and holistic care.
